Tornado season. Dad stroke bit ago. Still therapy to get him able to walk sit and stand. This tornado season looks bad. In kansas we judge march in the south for what to expect april to june. Me and dad same size. How do i get him in basement if there a gorillion mile wide f5 comin. The wall mounted chair thing irrelevent if power goes out. Should i be rough and get him down on every warning or just when its big nasty confirmed. Night time i will always get him down. I worry of this because tornadoes have been early and bad this is looking like a repeat of 2011

Turn the stairs into a flat surface slide by boards or something and he can scoot down on his butt or even lay flat as you pull them down the idea is to get all of his weight on to the floor so he can’t fall flat surface like long boards over the steps will do that
I was just thinking how we used to sit on gramma's cookie sheets and slide down the stairs on them and wondering how you could rig something like that for a full grown man.
