I rode the same busses and used the same foodstamps as the black kids, and somehow my mom never decided to have 6 kids by 6 dads and my dad never decided to bust out of there or go to prison for robbery or gang banging.
Black people are further from slavery and Jim crow than ever. They have more free money and unearned opportunity than ever. And they just do worse and worse.

Sounds like you were lucky you had solid parents. I don’t think that black people can not take on some of the blame and it’s time for them to take responsibility and clean up their hoods but also free is never free. Socialism always ends in similar fashions to societies that accept it. And that is what black people have been living under for 70 years now, they just haven’t put it together that that little check they get a month keeps them surviving just enough that they have lost their drive, their businesses in their hoods and the nuclear family. You can only blame other people for so long but this is just like any socialism experiment a complete failure.
The mentality is still that democrats are somehow magically forcing black people to be on welfare and commit crimes. The single parent rate for blacks was already about 1/3rd BEFORE the 60s. Why is it white kids raised by single.mothers are less likely to commit crimes than black kids? Why is it black students with parents that have incomes of 200k or more average lower test scores than white kids with 20k household's? Why is it the same in every country they're in?
Welfare doesn't destroy you unless you have a proclivity to be unproductive and a drain. There's no magical welfare fairy that keeps you on foodstamps. If the person is satisfied with that...then that's who they are. They're not being "tricked". And if they were being "fooled " somehow into willfully accepting welfare and committing crimes despite being able to succeed based on their skin color by being entirely mediocre as long as they stay out of jail; that implies a people with the mentality of toddlers. And if that's the case, needing handouts is their natural state and they need to have voting rights revoked and be looked at as wards of the state like people with mental disabilities.
