I’m in the red part of California and up here you would barely know there was a pandemic. Other than the obvious things like some businesses requiring masks, but that’s rare. Some people wear masks around, but nobody harasses the people that don’t.
Overall it’s pretty chill. It sucks in the cities though. Rural living has its advantages.

because we have a stupid habit of rewarding failure with billions of dollars to stop failing that only encourages them to set up plans to fail harder
