Anyone else keep getting random calls from places or people in CA? GETTING REALLY FUCKING ANNOYING!!!

So, never been to CA in my life, but so far have had 4 calls from Californian numbers. One was a liquor store, one from a insurance place, and 2 from random people. Ignored them all, but it's fucking annoying.
CA doesn't seem content in wasting our money, they now want to waste my time with random ass phone calls.
Am I alone in this? And can I block a entire state from calling my phone?
I used to live in California and kept my Bay Area number when I moved to the South and lately I'm getting somewhere between 7-10 phone calls a day from my old area code. 99% of them are scammers, and or robo callers (where they call, and if you pick up there is no one on the other line.. then they wait a couple of hours/days and call you back with a real person because they know someone is home (because you picked up).... I've stopped answering calls from numbers I don't know.
