Typically politicians won’t vote against something they know will pass unless it’s because they have an objection to something buried in it. A 2 sentence summary of the bill doesn’t mean a whole lot. I could make the patriot act and affordable care act sound good with a slanted summary

The "American Rescue Plan" is a perfect recent example. We know only 9% of the 1.9T in proposed spending was allocated directly for American COVID relief. The other 91% went to foreign aid, special interests, and money laundering for Democrats. If they had called it "Bankrupt America Plan, part 1", most people would reject it.

I’m to the point where if a bill has a good sounding name I become immediately suspicious of it. I’d vote for HR123 “Let Americans kick RandomPanda in the balls” before I’d vote for HR123 “Prosperity and happiness for every American bill” if I couldn’t read the contents.

Sounds like someone wants to slander Matt Gaetz.

But the bill says it is going to combat Human Trafficking, I mean that must be exactly what it does, right? Surely there was not hidden agenda behind it where something totally unrelated is tacked on in order to force something through.

You know like how the fucking gubment criminals pass "Covid relief" bill that gave millions to foreign countries and illegal aliens?
