I'm not against churches because they serve a valuable purpose (or can serve/sometimes serve a valuable purpose), but mega churches are always bad. I can't think of a single example of a good mega church.

Almost all of them have the harshest possible condemnations of false teachers. The disappointment you feel is not just you, and it's not in tension with being part of Jesus' church.

Plenty of good churches out there that you should seek but they’re almost never mega churches and Joel Osteen is a false teacher without a doubt. Find a small local church and you may have to try multiple until you find one that actually teaches the true word of God. Unfortunately as the end times draw closer the false teachers will only increase.

Yeah makes sense. I left for awhile too. I found a good church now that is based and the pastor constantly teaches the Bible, tons of people have left over the years because he teaches truth and not cup cake stuff

I grew up in a small church. Our pastor used to refer to these types of preachers as "blab it and grab it" guys. They don't actually teach the Bible. They are prosperity preachers who pick and choose verses to justify their greed.
