Reminds me of this open air poetry thing I went to in college (late 90s) that my professors were pushing, some Asian student writer group.
Some kid read a poem called "THEY LIKE YOU BECAUSE YOU EAT DOG!!" really angry, veins bulging, teeth gritted. Thought he was on drugs (I was on the marijuana at the time...y'know chahahaleggggge....but I mean he was on some upper or coke and ready to throw down). All the rest of the students' poems were about how much white people made them feel inferior.
Walked pass the Engineering buildings later seeing happy Asian students on their way to probably making millions, thinking "that's pretty much what I see when I see Asian people" and came to the conclusion...
