I absolutely love the man, but sometimes I feel he doesn’t quite grasp what’s happened. He’s a good man with a good heart but I sometimes fear he doesn’t see the bigger picture.
The older someone gets, the harder it becomes for them to adjust psychologically to new circumstances. The more rapidly society changes, the harder a time they have. Trump is 75 or so, so that means that he grew up in post-WWII America, which was an entirely different place. He has never seen this level of corruption before in his life and likely can't grasp it completely.
