I respect this but I don’t recall being passed any torches of freedom. Only debt, lies, and poverty. I’m not fighting for that. I’m not fighting for anything less than my own personal interests.
Are you kidding? If you're Gen X you were passed a pretty brightly burning torch of free speech, freedom of political assembly, full gun rights, along with booming job markets and full grocery stores everywhere, nobody spying on you everywhere all the time, nobody doing naked xrays on you at the airport, nobody telling your kids to apologize for being white at their school. That's not nothing, pede.
I'm not Gen x. Came of age during the financial crisis. I've never really had a good paying job. Used to work 60 hour weeks managing a restaurant but it was a terrible life. Now I live it pretty easy but I'm a stay at home husband now. I disliked school so much I joined the Marines and 9/11 happened shortly after. I'm pretty traumatized by everything I've been through. America's turned its back on its people all my life.
