It says right there in the picture that this isn't for felons. If you're in the clink and it's not a felony, you can vote. It's always been that way, everywhere. This is for people who are serving a few weeks for a bar fight, or for skipping bail, or having some weed, or w/e, not for murderers and rapists.
Society is still open to people who make mistakes, guys.
Not only this, but non-violent felons who have served their time should have their full civil rights restored. For example: sold marijuana as an idiot teenager, its a felony.... do you really not deserve to be able to vote or ever own a fire arm cause ya sold a dime bag? Especially now that Marijuana is legal in tons of states and looks to be going federally legal soon?
Should murderers rapists or pedos get to vote? Not only no but hell no, they should be killed anyhow.

Tell me about it, I live in the RDU (Raleigh-Durham) area. Those and now we have Chinese, Muslims and Indian. They don't care about following and respecting American traditions or local traditions. They live in their own planet.
not all are like that! my sis in law and her family came here to work legally and they studied their butts off at the college in New Bern to become citizens they love this country, our area, and our traditions. They voted for Trump and 4th of July is one of their fave holidays they wear red white and blue! They are so proud to be legal us citizens, it sucks you've dealt with the ones who aren't like them and their family/friends who live in the area. Last time I was at the capital for a protest the Chinese/Asians that were there were screaming louder at antifa than some of the other protesters it was awesome, they could have come from another area though.

Believe it or not, but I actually support allowing people the right to vote after they have repaid their debt to society.
I know that the majority of criminals tend to be from cities and blue cities, at that.
But I have a felony on the record (innocent, obviously) and in my state I'm allowed to vote. But this is a very red state. I really really appreciated that when it came time to vote for Trump even though my vote was meaningless because Trump won in a landslide in 2016.
Now my opinion might be changing. If our votes don't matter then fuck em.
I'm sorry, I believe that to vote should be a privilege, like to have a drivers license, not a right. That's only my opinion, not the absolute and unique truth.

No. In fact, I believe there should be more restrictions to vote, not only clean records, ID and proof of citizenship. They also should ask for a US history exam passed, be older than 21, for youngers than 65, proof of income. If you have 20 illiterates and criminals and 5 honest working educated people in a block, guess who always going to win the election.

I moved out of NC before the election, I remember that business with the pot ash or coal ash in the Dan river and the bathroom bill as the big items in NC politics at the time. Everyone stopped talking about the river once little girls were defended in the bathrooms. Charlotte-Mecklenburg and the RDU area were so incensed over the bathrooms and the rest of the state was either outnumber or just plain apathetic that he lost. Which, no matter which one that is absolute shame on NC for not seeing the pure evil Roy Cooper is and standing up for someone who maintained a modicum of sanity.
Impossible that Trump carried the state and Cooper didn't get beat. Shame on the GOP for not putting someone better at the fore.
