I moved out of NC before the election, I remember that business with the pot ash or coal ash in the Dan river and the bathroom bill as the big items in NC politics at the time. Everyone stopped talking about the river once little girls were defended in the bathrooms. Charlotte-Mecklenburg and the RDU area were so incensed over the bathrooms and the rest of the state was either outnumber or just plain apathetic that he lost. Which, no matter which one that is absolute shame on NC for not seeing the pure evil Roy Cooper is and standing up for someone who maintained a modicum of sanity.
