This was the narrative pushed a few years ago - that race is a construct (like sex!?!?) and doesn't exist. I'm surprised they left this on the Wikipedia propaganda page, it undercuts the more popular Critical Race Theory that instead blames the white race for everything bad - while sitting in well-fed technological comfort made possible by whites.
Also notice how all people who have light skin are "white." as if the brits didn't enslave the Irish or the turks didn't exterminate Armenians. No cultural identity allowed if your skin is white.
The bit after the "and" seems somewhat relevant in this case. Frankly, they put a bunch of filler in so they can suggest people are white nationalists who aren't. It would have been better cut down to:

You'd be hard pressed to find anyone who doesn't consider white people to be a race. Might as well include the fact they're human.
I don't care about having an ethno-state. I just want all Americans to share a common culture, moral, and value systems. We should be Americans first; leave your ethnicity, color, etc at the door and just be an American (while still respecting, remembering, and honoring your heritage).
When people were immigrating to America back in the late 1800s and early 1900s the American culture of freedom was prevalent. They held onto their heritage, but were PROUD of being AMERICAN. The American Dream of freedom (financial, religious, social, etc) tied everyone together.
If I am going to be thought of as a racist regardless of anything I can say or do to convince otherwise, just because I am white, then I might as well do whatever I can to promote my own race.
