The only problem is most of Europe and the rest of the world has an illusion of freedom and that veil is starting to be pulled back from their eyes...they are doing what they can...and worse, they don't have 2A.
But America has 2A and this is the biggest factor, that's why the Dems are seriously attacking it. I think this is why the rest of the world is looking up to America, they finally see what's going on but feel so hopeless.
I don't think anyone is really looking up to the USA anymore, seriously, I know for a fact that there has been a real reckoning and waking up all over Europe with regard to the USA. Some of that has long existed, much of it was amplified by Bush, accelerated to some degree by Obama, amped up by Trump, and now the "pandemic" is really starting to expose the stress points.
