There is no such thing as a hate crime. Crimes are equally punishable no matter the race of the victim or motive. A person murdered in a robbery deserves no less justice than one murdered in an attack where racial slurs were used. The victims both lose their lives.

Murderers may be motivated by money or fear or being utterly batshit fucking insane from drugs or other factors that have nothing to do with their emotions towards the victim.

Indeed, many children are murdered by their mother to 'save' them from something or other. (Yes, often that is to 'save' them from a secure happy life with their father.)

So murder isn't necessarily a hate crime.
