In 2006 I was schedule to go on tour for Op Archer in Afghanistan..
Got pulled off rotation at the last minute (was already DAG GREEN on dental, physical) because 'someone' found a picture of me on facebook from 2-3 years prior when I was high on morphine and taking the city bus home from the hospital..
The caption "high as fuck" written, by me, under the image. Another image where I'm standing 5 feet away from someone smoking a joint. Those two images were printed out and sitting on my Commanding Officers' desk when I'm marched into her office.
She was a great CO and didn't discipline me. Basically said something along the lines of "if you smoked or hung around people who smoke a lot, stop it".. and that was the last I heard of it.
...until I finished my tasking and went back home. THEN I was called into the 2IC's office (he was becoming CO in a few months) and the Sergeant Major standing behind him... He proceeded to call me every insult/name in the book... a disgrace.. a racist.. (against french people)... and had a few more funny memes printed out that I'd made.
OK.. Yes.. "Goodbye Quebec" captioned over an artillery gun pointing at Quebec is funny but not racist.. I mean, c'mon man!
