It's not quite like that. It's far more dysfunctional. I live in Berkeley, California. There are white democrats who believe that they are educated and can run their own lives. However, they think OTHERS in this country (poor people, blacks, and Republicans) are too ignorant of what's best for them and need the government to run THEIR lives. White supremacists with a guilty conscience, basically.
