It's always interesting to revisit events from childhood with the wisdom of adulthood. I used to think the OJ verdict was a case of a very rich man getting away with murder. Now I know it was a case of black jurors gleefully refusing to convict a black man of killing white people.
Funny how I was 11 years old and I never considered race playing a factor in the verdict. I just thought they were wrong.
Maybe I was just naïve, or maybe as a white male I just hadn't truly embraced my biological predisposition to being a racist white supremacist.
