The closest animal to a cow would be the American Buffalo, and if you aren’t familiar with them they can’t be domesticated, even today. They have to be contained separate of any other animals because they will kill cows, horses, and anything else in the same pen.
I watched a really interesting video on YouTube once that used Buffalo as the reason why the indigenous populations of North America didn’t have diseases to effect Europeans. Basically because you can’t domesticate Buffalo you didn’t have a source of cattle to supply cities, because you couldn’t have large gatherings of people you didn’t have large outbreaks of deadly disease followed by the development of herd immunity.
They could still have invented the wheel, it didn't take domestication of animals to propagate that invention. The immunities yes, invention? No. Of course the whole thing is esoteric because it's a matter of what could have occurred, instead of just focusing on what did or did not.
