Why are conservatives instinctively defending Gaetz? You don’t know if he did it or didn’t so why take a side? This is a serious allegation so an investigation needs to be done. Conservatives need to save this “cracking jokes about pedophilia” to known false allegations. Every single allegation is not false. This reminds me of a young girl who was assaulted at a TPUSA event and got attacked and called a liar by conservatives. It’s disgusting behavior. Clearly people are more interested in politics than the safety of children.
It’s not instinctive. You must be living under a rock. FBI refused to hold Hillary Clinton accountable when she committed a capital offense - violating the espionage act. FBI didn’t do anything about the black supremacist terrorism last year. FBI admitted to overcharging protesters on 1/6 and that they have no evidence of “insurrection” or a “plot to kill members of congress” despite lying to the media and claiming the opposite for nearly 3 months. FBI tried to overturn the 2016 election by investigating and then trying to set up Donald Trump for “Russian collusion”, despitethere being no evidence. Also Matt Gaetz has already claimed that an FBI agent is trying to extort him for 25 million dollars, and when he refused and went to the FBI to report it, they retaliated with this.
So, ochams razor - is it more likely that a partisan federal agency is acting in a partisan manner or is it more likely that a very public figure who is already under tremendous scrutiny and media attacks is having clandestine sex with a 17 year old teenage girl who absolutely would gossip about it immediately?
Consider that we have evidence of the former and literally no evidence of the latter.

If you don’t see the problem in automatically calling a girl a liar when she makes an allegation then you would only see the problem of that happened to someone in your family.
