Yeah... because assault weapons are weak and stupid for hunting. I'm well aware 5.56 can take a deer, but too often you're going to have idiots who can't place a shot well enough for a clean kill. You could of course go full auto and squeeze off some bursts at the deer, but then you've ruined the meat. In short, this guy has probably never hunted, probably never fired a weapon in anger, and is probably 100% eating paint chips for every meal.
