To be fair though, wages aren't rising at the rate of inflation, and haven't been for like 80 years. Look at a dollar spending power chart if you're curious why so many people genuinely feel that a jerb isn't really worth the hassle. Especially considering that a significant portion of our labor is syphoned away forcibly to prop up a system that hates us and conspires to flood our jerb with illegals that will work for half a wage and replace us.
I fail to see the incentive. Personally, I'll stick with under the table work where I can and use the extra time for church and community building. But that's just my 2 cents
