The Most Negligent Generation really is just going to ride the USA and "freedom" into the ground to the tunes of Margaritaville. It seems VERY pronounced among the ~1950-1965 generation, the equivalent of the entitled, spoiled, detached, hedonic trust fund baby that just burns through their unearned and undeserved assets with abandon. That's not to say that trust fund babies don't exist afterwards and in many ways it's really the boomers who kind of just handed off their trust fund baby mentality that they were really the creators of by institutionalizing it in those trust funds, but the difference is that there was really still something left that they could burn through between the 1960-2020s, the actual, damaged, degenerate, sick, psychotic, and self-destructive trust fund babies now are quite literally fiddling while Rome burns and desperately trying to rearrange the deck chairs on the Titanic, hoping it will result in some change to the fate their negligence and decadence produced. "Moar digging, we will dig our way out through to China" they yell as the hole starts filling with water and the walls start crumbling.
