it is better for a Christian of little faith to be put to death for Jesus, whom the communists boast against, than for him to fight them

Jesus himself drove the moneychangers from the temple with a whip.

Why? Because they were oppressing people and using their power to stand between the people and God. Communists do the same, and I reckon Jesus would have owned an AR-15 and might just have used it.

Actually the real reason, as Jesus said himself, was that his temple was supposed to be, "A house of prayer". Killing communists because they're taking over a country which had no problem killing children in their mother's womb is kinda different.

The moneychangers were preventing the people from using it as a house of prayer by requiring them to have temple money to tithe with. They had put themselves between the people and God.
