From the Convention of States Action newsletter:

VICTORY! Moments ago, the North Carolina Judiciary 4 Committee voted in favor of the COS resolution. This is an important victory that means our legislation will move on to the Rules Committee for a vote, then on to the House floor.

It takes 34 states to call the convention, will North Carolina be sweet sixteen?

The one issue with all of this is that it then basically opens the WHOLE constitution up for "amendment" by anyone that gets in on it.

Bingo. That's why it has to be done correctly. There is risk.

But it's the easiest way to unwind the oppressive and illegal totalitarian Federal Gov't.

The numbers should be on our side, but absent a major atrocity by the bad guys being completely exposed, there may have to be some compromise.

The main gist of a CoS is to return sovereignty back to the states, and it's hard to imagine states not wanting that.
