I'm more thinking out loud here than endorsing a drastic change, but work with me here.
If you get rid of the liability protection of corporations, the owner(s) of a company are going to be much more careful about possible harm their companies do. This is a positive.
Now the natural reaction to that is that the Trans female dogs and their ambulance chasing lawyers are going to leap at this all-you-can-eat buffet of free money. This is a negative.
But, the business owners are then going to insist on legal reforms to practically eliminate the ridiculous lawsuits. This reform is drastically needed. This could be a positive.
Of course, those reforms would put a lot of lawyers out of work, and that's a very good thing.
I'm just saying corporations would act much more responsibly and the legal system would be forced to change if we got rid of a rather old concept that was created by people who had their own self-interests at heart.

As a major employer in the state it is prudent (to protect the state economy) to understand their views on the impact of any new law.
While voter ID has fuck all to do with running an airline, they may feel that imposing voter ID mandates may cause skilled staff to leave the state, make it harder to attract other staff into the state or may even merely be representing the viewpoint of their existing employees.
What they shouldn't be allowed to do is write the law, receive privileged access to the people writing it, get early versions unavailable to the public or provide any more feedback than the public.
But being consulted? Sensible.
These corporations have made shady deals with certain politicians and this is just both hands washing each other.
It's part of the kickback scheme.
In a functioning system without all of the grift, you'd be right about the consulting part, but this is just to keep their bought-and-paid-for politicians in power.

Trust me. Its United thats cucked. United is okay but Delta is better in every way from movie selection, snacks, on time performance, and even the padding in the seats is better on Delta. And United is getting woke AF to the point where they pass up folks with a decade of experience in favor of females who don't even meet their published hiring minimums.
