I agree with the sentiment that no corporation should be weighing in.

But the reason they are is because they are one of the largest employers in GA, where their HQ is.

Remember, corporations are people too (that was difficult to type, because it's total BS).

Forget the 'corporations are people' element, you already identified a key factor.

As a major employer in the state it is prudent (to protect the state economy) to understand their views on the impact of any new law.

While voter ID has fuck all to do with running an airline, they may feel that imposing voter ID mandates may cause skilled staff to leave the state, make it harder to attract other staff into the state or may even merely be representing the viewpoint of their existing employees.

What they shouldn't be allowed to do is write the law, receive privileged access to the people writing it, get early versions unavailable to the public or provide any more feedback than the public.

But being consulted? Sensible.
