Is he a perfect embodiment of our movement? No. Does he unfairly criticize Trump at times in a very leftist manner? Yes and I hate it. Does he believe the election was stolen despite mountains of evidence? No and I hate that too.

But is he correct on issues the vast majority of the time? Yes. Is he slowly amassing a giant conservative entertainment media conglomerate to finally fight against the left wing media base? Yes. Is he redpilling people left and right while regularly shitting savagely on leftists? Hell yes.

I get that Shapiro isn’t the 100% America First media mogul we need. But he’s damn close and I feel like making him out as a “leftist ally” and “enemy” is a step too far.

Sorry Ben, your content wasn't that compelling to begin with and when you get it wrong on top of that..

Same issue Scott Adams is having right now. When he was analyzing Trump's persuasion techniques he had a highly relevant podcast that was pretty much the only place you could go to for serious analysis on how Trump communicated. Now his show boils down to telling people to trust the experts and accept whatever the narrative is on vaccines, lockdowns, masks, and election fraud.

The worst part about that is Scott recommended the Psychology of Persuasion by Cialdini, which has a whole chapter on persuasion through authority, and he doesn't even realize the degree to which he is vulnerable to persuasion by authority on so many issues. He openly encourages listeners to turn off their judgement and accept authority.

Fascinating insights around Scott. Is Cialdinis book worth the time investment? I'm super selective about what I read now but open to more info on Cult Death persuasion/manipulation tactics. Relevant considering the 24!7 psy op attacks. Armouring up.

Cialdini's book is very good and worth reading, though it could use a rewrite with modern examples. Sort of a companion book to How to Win Friends and Influence People.

It brings a lot of subtle technique into the open for discussion.
