How does the government ban a global crypto which is held in personal wallets and non related to government? I mean, Bitcoin is worth far more than the US dollar and they aren’t doing a thing. Meanwhile, hedge fund managers are considering offering it to employees and customers.
They torture you and your family until you give up the wallet credentials and they transfer it to theirs. Is it illegal? Yes like many things we constantly witness. They could also pass a law making it legal.
I love Bitcoin and I hope it's the future but make no mistake an evil government does have a means to go after it.
How's that different from the government torturing you in order to know where you hide your gold, your cash, or other valuables the don't want you to have. Or simply lock you out from your bank account with the click on a button?
At least with cryptocurrency you have a chance to hide it well enough so that they never even figure out that you have a wallet in the first place.
You are right it is no different and I hope de-centralized is a bright light in the future. I just meant there is only so much doomsday preparation one can do.
That's gonna work out well, like when the government banned drugs, or pirate films distributed over peer-to-peer torrents, or alcohol during probation. People certainly won't continue to use it even tho government can't do anything to stop it.
I don't trust bitcoin. Government hates competition which means they are the most likely to get banned.

Torture eh? Thank god for my guns. :)
