300lb fella in front of me at the grocery store had a whole cart full of stuff. Probably about an even 50/50 split of food and cleaning supplies. Several boxes of gloves, disinfecting spray, wipes, paper towels, sponges, masks.... Then the other half was nothing but junk. Doritos, Oreos, snack cakes, several different types of juice, ice cream, cheese crackers, chocolate syrup....and probably a dozen Lean Cuisines (clearly watching his weight). I wanted to go over and tell him that no amount of Bleach spray will strengthen his immune system, but I thought he might get upset and eat me. Disregard personal health, acquire wet wipes. Its a sound Covid approach.

Now that you mention it, looking back at my school years in the same time frame, you could count on one hand the number of kids who were really overweight. With the Internet, your food and entertainment is brought right to your door. With this lockdown bullshit we became even more sedentary. While being forced to work from home has helped me in some ways, it has hurt in my physical health dramatically. I am making corrections now because I have people that depend on me. I could easily see how some people get hopeless and just feed their needs of the moment. One of the root causes of societies ills is 24/7 “news” that feeds a constant stream of fear and anxiety.
