It's a manifest willingness to abuse the law to get at your political opponents.

Eric Holder's law firm sent his lawyers to become Flynn's original attorneys. They were there to put him in jail, not help him. That alone is a crime. A defense attorney cannot secretly work for the opposite party against you. Flynn should charge that law firm immediately. It's an easy win.

Good point that I forgot about.

When I read these stories it answers questions about things I wonder about but have no way of ever asking about.

For example, a guy with Mike Flynn's background- how worldly must that guy be? Does he understand that you it's possible you should not trust your own lawyer ? That it is necessary to question whether the lawyer is even on your side or he's going to railroad you? Is that a thing a guy like that knows all about because he's seen it many times or heard about it from other people or is he still naive somehow?

I knew that. I've never been in trouble, but I still knew that. It appears to me that somehow, Flynn didn't. How is that even possible?

He trusted the FBI and thought (knew) he hasn't done anything wrong. The choice of his attorneys came at the time there was this huge media scandal about a nothingburger of a phone call with the Russian ambassador. But Flynn could have been emotionally distressed by the media hype that I don't know. The attacks came from every news outlet. There were calls of treason. Then about two three months later Mueller started to go after him. That's when the evil guys strike. They knew he was under pressure, being accused heavily in the media, but I bet they assured him, it was a nothingburger, they were from a major lawfirm and probably said they wanted the case because he was high profile guy and they were on his side. He felt supported, they didn't told him they were Obama guys working in the same offices of Eric Holder... and he decided, in that expedited media environment, to take them. In fact I remember that some people (nat sec officials?) recommended them to him before he met them. We now know that they were such evil attorneys, that when asked by Flynn to call the FBI and verify again if the FBI really thought he lied, they faked a phone call, went to the room nearby and talked in the air a few minutes and came back with a false answer of "yes they believe you lied to them and now you're in trouble, you must plaid guilty to lying". That's literally what happened.
