Because there is the actual work that was being done and shared, and then there is your conjecture that something other than that was actually happening. The former is the prima facie position, already established. You'd need to give more evidence to support the idea that the established facts aren't true, and your nefarious conspiracy is.

I get it that China being involved makes shenanigans on the side probable, but that doesn't change that the stated function and actual primary work that we know was being done was as I stated.

Again, we know the former was happening. The latter is a guess, even if plausible.
