i love vonnegut and this story and his use of "so it goes". i hope people read this. it is a real testament to why literature and art are very important
I read this as a teen in the 90s, as the corpse flower of political correctness was really starting to blossom. Made perfect sense then, but even more so now.
I read the wikipedia synopsis and it reflects The Law of Jante. A lot of people don't know about that in America, but if you mention it to a Scandinavian, they'll think you're a genius. It really invites a good conversation.
