Most of the people who participated on the 6th weren't trying to murder Congress (hence not a single one carrying a weapon) but to be honest if we here had our way, most of Congress would be executed. Preferably by hanging or firing squad after a trial by their peers, but I think most here would be happy to see traitors dead no matter how it happened.
The thing people somehow miss in all this is, most of Congress is actively treasonous and works against the interests of the country. People don't just storm the Capitol out of the blue. It happened because Congress is corrupt.
One of the reasons they're so scared and paranoid of that is because somewhere deep down many of them are aware that they deserve the death penalty for their crimes and misconduct. Ironically it's the same fear of a murderer when they see a cop car role up outside their house.
