The invasion of the soviet union was not a knee jerk decision based on "drugged out" hitler. Again, this is another myth repeated by lazy historians, media, and ignorant hollywood producers. The soviets were planning on invading and conquering ALL of europe once western europe had worn each other down by fighting. There are countless documents declassed, tons of factual sources that show this was the plan for Stalin and germany knew this. He was planning to invade in 1943. The dice roll to invade soviets was not something that was done randomy or because of a "drugged out hitler." It was actually a well thought out gamble by him and the top military generals (they had been winning a lot so far). They decided to take as a preemptive strike because the longer they waited the stronger the soviet army became, and they incorrectly assumed the russian army would totally collapse after a few large scale loses just like what happened in WW1. The soviets had already invaded several of their neighboring countries (besides poland, but nobody talks about this aggression) so the writing was on the wall of what their intentions were.
Thank god FDR passed to lend lease act to help prop those bolsheviks up, it really paid off in the long run by giving half of europe to them and letting their warped ideology spread into asia and here in the US. ;)

I pull up an article I just happened to see that morning that basically said, verbatim, "Netanyahu, PM of Israel, criticizes George Soros." I raise my hand, turn the screen towards her side of the class, and say "Hmm.. Ok. So, you think Netanyahu is Antisemitic?" She performs some amazing mental gymnastics to basically say that yes, he is antisemitic, and keeps sticking to her argument that any criticism of him is antisemitic.
I then give a list of things that I, personally, criticize Soros for. And then end with: Idk, I mean, to me, that stuff, none of which is tied to being Jewish, is good reason to criticize Soros, and by your logic, that then makes me antisemitic, no?" She nods, and it's at that point that I kind of chuckle, and said something like "man, I must be the most self-loathing Jew in existence, hating myself, family, and people. You do know I'm Jewish, right?" And the whole class kind of lost it and she stfu the rest of the class. One of my better moments in grad school lol

I was with my wife (fiancee at the time), and we were just talking about life. He's telling me about his girlfriend back in Cali, and then he hits me with how he knocked her up and she got an abortion. How he "just wasn't ready," she's "just a girlfriend," and "it's better for everyone this way," and I basically just had to not talk. I couldn't. I couldn't say anything without it likely ending our friendship. I wanted to be like "bro, you're like 30 now. Not ready? Not stable enough? Not responsible enough? You're fucking 30! Own up, have the kid, give it a life. Or have it and I'll adopt it, even though I'm just as poorly situated as you are right now. I'd do that. I'd save that life, and raise the kid, if it means my longest friend didn't kill his child.

Yup, it's awful, and I try so hard not to pass judgement because my generation was properly brainwashed on the matter of abortion, and as an unfortunate result, I know some otherwise good and decent people that are perfectly ok with it and/or have done it themselves.
Hell, when I first met my (now) wife, she was... kind of grew up with conservative values, but was mostly apolitical, which as a result, meant she was kind of slightly left-leaning just from all the brainwashing. One day, early in our relationship, we're driving past a planned parenthood and there are protestors outside, and she rolls the window down to flip them off and yell at them. I'm like "woah, woah, woah, wtf are you doing? Let them protest, it's their right." But it told me a lot. I ended the talk there, but not long after, it came out that she'd had an abortion earlier in life when she was younger. We ended up in a very serious and emotional conversation, and I learned that she didn't want an abortion, was pressured by her BF at the time, and has felt guilty about it every since (still to this day. She thinks God will never let her get pregnant now with me as punishment).
Anyway, through a calm conversation, I basically was able to pull out of her that she was never pro-choice, but actually incredibly pro-life. It was the guilt she felt from society and her BF convincing her that an abortion was ok, and then having one. Once she did, and the guilt came, her mind kind of... accepted abortion as ok, despite knowing it wasn't, as a sort of defense mechanism. In other words: so many people think it's fine, I've had one, others I know have, and I now need to support this cause to know that others do as well and not feel the guilt of murdering my baby. It was tough for me to get through to her that no, she isn't a murderer and a horrible person, but was once young, ignorant, and brainwashed like so many others. She could admit what she did was wrong without it meaning she was a bad person, and doing so is better to her alternative (accepting abortion as ok, and pushing that ideology onto more, because the more people doing it, the more morally acceptable it was in her mind).

This is untrue. In 1932, Powell Crosley commissioned RCA to build the most powerful transmitter in the world at the time, the absolutely massive RCA-1, for his AM station 700 WLW in Cincinnati. The signal was so powerful that it covered all of North and South America and most of Europe. In fact, Crosley's "Moon River" music program even took a phone request from Buckingham Palace. The station's massive reach led owners of competing stations to push the senate to pass the Wheeler Resolution, limiting the power of all US AM stations to a max of 50KW. The massive transmitter was used periodically for fax transmissions and shortwave broadcasts throughout WWII after the temporary AM broadcast license was pulled in 1942.

The invasion of the soviet union was not a knee jerk decision based on "drugged out" hitler. Again, this is another myth repeated by lazy historians, media, and ignorant hollywood producers. The soviets were planning on invading and conquering ALL of europe once western europe had worn each other down by fighting. There are countless documents declassed, tons of factual sources that show this was the plan for Stalin and germany knew this. He was planning to invade in 1943. The dice roll to invade soviets was not something that was done randomy or because of a "drugged out hitler." It was actually a well thought out gamble by him and the top military generals (they had been winning a lot so far). They decided to take as a preemptive strike because the longer they waited the stronger the soviet army became, and they incorrectly assumed the russian army would totally collapse after a few large scale loses just like what happened in WW1. The soviets had already invaded several of their neighboring countries (besides poland, but nobody talks about this aggression) so the writing was on the wall of what their intentions were.
Thank god FDR passed to lend lease act to help prop those bolsheviks up, it really paid off in the long run by giving half of europe to them and letting their warped ideology spread into asia and here in the US. ;)

So, the class is discussing Soros, and some liberal chick says "I think anyone that criticizes Soros is just antisemitic." I almost lose it, but I know my audience, so I play it carefully. I pull up an article I just happened to see that morning that basically said, verbatim, "Netanyahu, PM of Israel, criticizes George Soros." I raise my hand, turn the screen towards her side of the class, and say "Hmm.. Ok. So, you think Netanyahu is Antisemitic?" She performs some amazing mental gymnastics to basically say that yes, he is antisemitic, and keeps sticking to her argument that any criticism of him is antisemitic.
I then give a list of things that I, personally, criticize Soros for. And then end with: Idk, I mean, to me, that stuff, none of which is tied to being Jewish, is good reason to criticize Soros, and by your logic, that then makes me antisemitic, no?" She nods, and it's at that point that I kind of chuckle, and said something like "man, I must be the most self-loathing Jew in existence, hating myself, family, and people. You do know I'm Jewish, right?" And the whole class kind of lost it and she stfu the rest of the class. One of my better moments in grad school lol

How he "just wasn't ready," she's "just a girlfriend," and "it's better for everyone this way," and I basically just had to not talk. I couldn't. I couldn't say anything without it likely ending our friendship. I wanted to be like "bro, you're like 30 now. Not ready? Not stable enough? Not responsible enough? You're fucking 30! Own up, have the kid, give it a life. Or have it and I'll adopt it, even though I'm just as poorly situated as you are right now. I'd do that. I'd save that life, and raise the kid, if it means my longest friend didn't kill his child.

Yup, it's awful, and I try so hard not to pass judgement because my generation was properly brainwashed on the matter of abortion, and as an unfortunate result, I know some otherwise good and decent people that are perfectly ok with it and/or have done it themselves.
Hell, when I first met my (now) wife, she was... kind of grew up with conservative values, but was mostly apolitical, which as a result, meant she was kind of slightly left-leaning just from all the brainwashing. One day, early in our relationship, we're driving past a planned parenthood and there are protestors outside, and she rolls the window down to flip them off and yell at them. I'm like "woah, woah, woah, wtf are you doing? Let them protest, it's their right." But it told me a lot. I ended the talk there, but not long after, it came out that she'd had an abortion earlier in life when she was younger. We ended up in a very serious and emotional conversation, and I learned that she didn't want an abortion, was pressured by her BF at the time, and has felt guilty about it every since (still to this day. She thinks God will never let her get pregnant now with me as punishment).
Anyway, through a calm conversation, I basically was able to pull out of her that she was never pro-choice, but actually incredibly pro-life. It was the guilt she felt from society and her BF convincing her that an abortion was ok, and then having one. Once she did, and the guilt came, her mind kind of... accepted abortion as ok, despite knowing it wasn't, as a sort of defense mechanism. In other words: so many people think it's fine, I've had one, others I know have, and I now need to support this cause to know that others do as well and not feel the guilt of murdering my baby. It was tough for me to get through to her that no, she isn't a murderer and a horrible person, but was once young, ignorant, and brainwashed like so many others. She could admit what she did was wrong without it meaning she was a bad person, and doing so is better to her alternative (accepting abortion as ok, and pushing that ideology onto more, because the more people doing it, the more morally acceptable it was in her mind).
