Exactly right. If these gubmints really wanted to, say, stop people smoking, the cigarette tax would be like $500 a pack. But no, they are as addicted to the tobacco revenue as the smoker is to his butts. "Don't kill the host!"

-The first few lockdowns didn't really work, so we need more lockdowns
-Inject this experimental poison into your bloodstream in order to be healthy
-Yeah ok there's skyrocketing depression, suicide, substance abuse bc of the isolation, but lets keep the lockdowns for the good of the public
