For my Christian Patriots - read Luke 22:35-38 today. Thursday of Holy Week is when Jesus told the disciples that if they didn't have a sword, to sell a garment and go buy one.
Jesus didn't tell his followers to go pick a fight, but he did encourage them to have something to protect themselves.

Jesus never told his followers to go pick a fight, but after the Last Supper He told his disciples to have a sword for protection.

Thought I'd share on this Maundy Thursday.

Meek meaning 'those who have swords, know how to use them, but keep them sheathed"
