You should track how long comments are open on the videos also. Obviously you can't do it on every video but they are open for short windows on some. Usually if they are open they stay open around 45 minutes to an hour. Yesterday I commented on that video and comments were shut down in under 30 minutes. They get crushed in comments but this time they probably hit a nerve.
One day last week they left comments on for 3-4 videos all day. The comments were glorious. Since then no vids have comments left on, or occasionally one.
Before that I agree they had comments on on most vids 30 min to an hour.
