I honestly wasn’t sure if we really had elections at all until trump won in 2016. Then I was like, well he wasn’t supposed to be able to win so I guess we did have elections, at least for that year. Now we seem to be back to normal where unapproved candidates can’t win or the winner is just pre-determined.
