Not directly related to your comment but it reminded me of a related issue (brace yourselves, incoming history lesson/rant):
The indigenous tribes who allied with the Spaniards to take down the Mexica (the tribe that controlled the Aztec empire; contrary to popular understanding, "Aztec" was not a tribe, it refers to the empire comprised of several tribes) weren't stupid and knew the Spaniards were there for territorial conquest and they decided to help them because they figured ANYONE would be better than the savage and tyrannical Mexica. And even though the Spanish had their issues, according to indigenous accounts written decades after the conquest, the Mexica were absolutely not missed by anyone and it continued like that for centuries.
This idiotic campaign against Spanish Christian influence and a return to "Mexica roots" was a 20th century invention by commies to brainwash Latinos/Latin Americans. Similar to how blacks used to have normal names pre 1960ish until this weird artificial "african renaissance" made fake african names popular (all your Jamals and Shanequas).

Is this also the symbol of the Aztec god of human sacrifice?

Sounds like a name for a feminine care product.
