The fact that the government of any party can "punish" a business for expressing any opinion is wrong and scary. Likewise, that a government can "reward" a business is also wrong and scary.

This isn't punishment, it is taking away a 'perk' which probably didn't need to happen in the first place. The Delta CEO is lying through his teeth (or doesn't know what he is talking about) when referencing the Georgia voting bill. Suppose he has Chinese handlers helping write his script?

These perks should not exist in the first place! All businesses should have to compete, not some getting special treatment. This is fascism.

it was quid pro quo until the quid was no longer equal to the quo

Just remember that delta contacted the governor several times about this while they were writing the bill. This is a two way street.

Yes and no. I get libertarian philosophy but at the same time, it's that very push for liberty that is actually destroying us.

Fact of the matter is that a government doing good is good and a government doing evil is evil. Society should be based on morality and a government should enforce a strict moral code among all members of society, including among corporations. It is up to us to ensure government and people in society stay good.

Libertarians who believe in liberty such that they consider all immoral acts as equal to moral acts because they refuse to curb the freedom of the immoral simply lead to the degradation of society.

There's nothing wrong with the government doing good things with its power. This is an example of a good thing. This "ideal" where we'll have some society where people with power never use their power simply does not exist. Promote good uses of power and attack bad uses of power. That is all.

But who says what is good or evil... the government shouldn't give tax breaks to any business.

The government should defend the borders and stay out of the people's way.

States compete with each other to attract businesses. They can create tax breaks if they want to, and it can result in a ton of jobs to be selected (which apparently is why Gov Noem is cucking to Amazon).

But corporations do PR pushes to impact state and local politics all the time (NC trans bathrooms), and glad these guys are fighting back.

If a private company chooses to meddle in politics then politics has a right to meddle right back.

The lesson should be that State and Industry remain separate. Because you know what you call the opposite? Fascism, like, literal Fascism. "Everything for the State".
