Maybe so but at least I would know that I made the effort to be up front and honest and assertive about my child’s safety. How is that irrational? Let me ask this, did you updoot the post above? Do you think the man didn’t wish he had done more to prevent what happened to his child before what ultimately happened? If you find what he did as noble but condemn my stance out of consideration for how ppl might β€œfeel”, then you are the one being irrational.

nah bro. You just don't let your kids sleep over anywhere. You sound irrational and nobody would want to be friends with your daughter. Just do yourself a favor and just don't let you kids go sleep over someone else's house. But keep in mind that vast majority this stuff happens by family members.

Sounds like you are just virtue signaling.

If my mom brings her new boyfriend over and I tell him "If you steal my moms stuff while shes at work ill beat you to death", that makes me look like a paranoid delusional, not protective.
