lol you logic would work if she didn't have to go to the hospital and needed stitches. And the '11' other girls.
For lethal force to be justified the threat needs to be imminent, not maybe again in the future, not two hours ago, but right fucking now. As in if lethal force is not used this with happen in seconds or continue happening in the present. If dad walked in on his daughter being raped he'd be entirely justified in shooting the rapist. If the rapist tried to abduct the girl and the father saw it he'd be entirely justified in shooting the abductor. Going to the guys house and executing him is not legally or morally justified, no matter how much we agree and sympathize with the desire to do so.
But you know, executions are an important part of society, if our justice system weren't mostly laughable I'd agree with you more. Actually I wish I can agree with you completely, and that a slow but robust justice system can be trusted with executions.
The death penalty is an entirely different conversation, one plagued with a similar problem "what if an innocent man is executed". But at least then the system does have some checks and balances like a court, council and jury.
But then I look at the FBI investigating a fake noose, but nada on voter fraud. Hard times fren
Agreed, some arms of our justice system, especially at a federal level have their priorities all fucked up. But that's not an excuse to commit murder.
You ever imagine giving this speech to Genghis Khan? Or French revolutionaries?
Remember our soldiers protect our rights to have civil conversations, and our ability to work towards a society where people can more peacefully wait for justice.
So the ability to not have to commit murder time to time is founded on very proficient executioners, our troops and law enforcement, funny no?
And yes they do it legally so its executions not murder, murder is still wrong, but I hope I communicated my point well enough. I also hope you understand more deeply now what I meant by "executions are an important part of society".
