I would casually bring up my love of guns and show pictures. Invite them to come shooting, let them know in a friendly way I can use a gun and am not scared to. Seems like a better option.
Tact would definitely be applied and in a calm manner of discussion. But sternly and in all seriousness. Itβs not something to be naive about just to save someoneβs feelings over your childβs safety with something as prevalent and serious as abuse/molestation. I stand by my statement and make no apologies, especially when it comes to my kid.
