What do you say about the man that kills who he thought was a pedo in the heat of the moment only to find out later that the allegations were false?
Encouraging vigilante murder sooner or later will lead to this exact outcome. By all means, shoot them in the head, publically if you wish. Just make sure it's been proven in court that the right guy is getting shot first.
Sadly, that doesn't satisfy the "irrefutable evidence" requirement since the guy telling us that the pedo said that (which is hard to believe in its own right. Criminals generally don't just admit to their crimes which is why I stated before that that little detail sounds like the kind of lie you tell when the only other person who knows the truth is dead and you're trying to justify your actions.) is also the guy that killed the man and he had no other evidence to go off of at the time of the shooting. The bottom line is that we cannot start encouraging vigilante murder because it is inevitable that an innocent person will be murdered at some point. It's mob mentality. It's the exact same thing as the Salem witch trials.

If the dipshit would have waited, an investigation would have taken place and they would have probably been able to arrest and convict the guy later. The bottom line is that the shooter took the law into his own hands and committed murder. He's not a hero. He's a murderer. A murderer that didn't even get to be a father for his daughter as she grew up. Some hero...

That doesn't mean go forth and hunt people you think are bad... it's means society should be fine for you to kill someone who defiles your 6 year old daughter.
Assume that little girls don't casually rape themselves and end up in medical wards. If the girl was alone with the criminal under his roof, the victim identifies the attacker. I have no problem with the father doing this and I don't blame him.
As this story goes it turns out he made the right call.

But if authorities refuse to value irrefutable evidence then I pray there are more heroes like this man to do the polices job for them.
