I know a lot of you don’t like baseball, but just humor me here for a minute.

Imagine your favorite team signed a big name free agent pitcher a couple years ago. He was bad with the media, shit talked the other teams constantly, beaned players if they hit one of his guys. He was loud and out there and got the job done. The team won when he took the hill, like him or not.

Now imagine he’s gone, and replaced with a mild mannered, quiet, “professional” pitcher. He assures you he will show up to camp early and fit, he will work hard to continue success for the team, he’ll be professional with the media and go to fundraisers.

So now it’s opening day and your new pitcher takes the mound. Instead of showing up early and fit though, he didn’t show up at all to camp and he’s out of shape. He walks the first 3 hitters of the game and you’re like “man he doesn’t have it today.” A couple home runs and few walks later we’re down 9-0 and the pitcher gets his much needed double play ball. But instead of turning the double play, he just holds the ball and let’s everyone advance.

At this point you’re disgusted, you go to leave the game because you can’t believe what you’re seeing. It’s 15-0 in the 2nd inning and as you leave, a fan in the new pitchers jersey blocks your path and tells you to sit back down and support your team. He tells you you’re a snowflake for leaving and not staying to cheer on your team, and that you’re not a real fan.

Behind you, you hear ooohs and ahhhs from the field. The pitcher isn’t even attempting to pitch the ball, he just threw it into the 3rd base side bleachers, the umpire doesn’t even know what to call. So he throws a ball to the pitcher, the pitcher throws it back to the umpire, who again not knowing what to do, awards the batter first base because why not. The fan who stopped you adjusts his mask and says hold on, while he cheers loudly for the pitcher. “This is the guy we needed. Now this team can do things right since we moved on from that loud mouthed all star!”

This is how liberals think every single day. Just try to imagine it
