Film at least is a chemical reaction to light and can not be altered.... digital files are VERY SIMPLE TO ALTER.... digital anything can be changed..... it would have to have very tight chain of TRACEABILITY... I would suggest that a cellphone isn’t exactly that!
No.... That is not true at all whatsoever..... At this present moment there is currently not a single super computer on the planet powerful enough to make an undetectable fake video or picture.....
If you have a video play through from beginning to end with no cuts then it is absolutely impossible at the present moment to alter it in an undetectable way....
I know it's difficult for a lot of people to understand but that is simply not how computering power works..... Naturally, any supercomputer strong enough to make a very convincing edit or fake would automatically be strong enough to detect that fake.... And since it takes infinitely more computing power to make a convincing edit or fake, it stands to reason that there would then be tons of less powerful computers that are still plenty powerful enough to detect the edit or fake...
Everybody seems to have this fantasized version of how video and picture editing works and everybody is fearmongering over deep fakes without even the slightest fucking understanding of how it actually works.
The result is that we are still a decade or more away from having a computer strong enough to make even a very convincing fake, but guess what? the rules don't change..... so even then, if you have a computer strong enough to make the fake, then you automatically have a computer strong enough to detect it as being fake....

Why is your opinion of value? Do you have experience in faking video edits? Or detection of video edits?
