Hey, some questions. I'm in NY. I'm looking to move within the next few years to a red state that values basic freedoms.
Texas is on the list to check out.
I want a few acres, enough land and space to feel safe and alone, but also not be more than 15 min from a small town with essentials, and a bigger city within 45 minutes.
Any ideas of areas to checkout?
Preferably low crime areas too!
I'm looking currently at Texas and Oklahoma. Florida is a possibility, but I like the idea of being toward the middle of the country, so traveling to other states is in the middle.
I visited South Dakota and loved it. I'd like somewhere with low taxes too!
