I get the feeling that most of you have never traveled to any countries in Central or South America...... Because it seems like most people on our website here have this impression of everything South of the border being like extremely rural Central Mexico that is basically just deserts with a few farms here and there.....
I hate to break it to you, but that's not at all what the majority of South and Central America is like and, believe it or not, people actually have new fucking clothes and new phones and new everything, just like you do pretty much everywhere else on this continent.... obviously there are small pockets of rural areas like that, but for fucksake, America is absolutely no different - just travel to some areas in Appalachia and see how the folks there live.... There's absolutely nothing wrong with it if that's the lifestyle you want, but still, you wouldn't go laying that same stencil over the rest of America like everyone seems to do for everything South of the border...
There are tons of cities in South America that would rival even major cities right here in America for how nice they are.....
I have traveled extensively. No one is arguing that at all. What’s your point? If it’s so nice there they can stay there. If they have jobs to afford new clothes and cell phones in their own country then they should stay there. I don’t see any single refugee looking person who is in fear of their lives or else they wouldn’t be walking though bad areas, like veracruz to get here. We don’t need them. We are broke and can’t afford to clothe, house, feed, medically treat or employ them. The issue isn’t that they at some point bought new clothes, it’s obvious that these pictures are staged on their way from bus to bus. People walking thousands of miles do not look freshly ironed and with no sweat on their clothes in tropical heat. In this picture they are coming from the Honduras and are In Guatemala City. Why do they all have matching book bags? Brand new. This is an invasion.
