If you watched the media and the entirety of the federal government spend five years trying to destroy Donald Trump, but thought for even a second that the Gaetz hit piece had a shred of credibility, you are simply not a smart person.

76
FredRedd [S] 76 points ago +76 / -0

Agree. I don't think that even the anti-Trumpers or anti-Gaetz-ers really believe it. They just WANT it to be true, since these stories keep popping up about their preferred elected officials (who actually are - time and again - proven to be completely true.)

95
tombombadil 95 points ago +96 / -1

They don’t want Gaetz running for president. They’re going to target every MAGA big shot over the next few years.

Pay attention to the people who are NOT targeted. Those are the controlled opposition.

Due to the massive printing of fake money. We are already Venezuela, believe it.

3
Afeazo 3 points ago +3 / -0

We became Venezuela when we removed the gold standard. Just like that, all our money became worthless and the treasury department kept all the gold.

We are just basically at this point waiting for total collapse. It’s a ticking time bomb with a fuse that’s been burning since then.

Everyone thinks the difference between 1st and 3rd world countries is about wealth, technology, and other such things.

Not so; the difference is in whether the rule of law is impartial and fair.

We failed that test quite some time ago.

slaphappy2 12 points ago +12 / -0

BINGO ! China knows that the more corrupt they can make the USA - the weaker we will be.

China may be corrupt - but they are united. The USA is becoming more corrupt and more diverse every day. Diversity = disunited.

This is their plan for winning - and so far their plan is looking pretty good.

7
War_Hamster 7 points ago +7 / -0

The breakdown in our system happened before China was even a consideration, but they certainly have jumped in to help expedite the situation.

Our government was meant to be much smaller entity, but the Fed Gov't seized power in 1913 and continued to grow and grow. That made the stakes and temptation for dirtbaggery to be more and more lucrative.

Once it reached a certain scale, the ability (and willingness) to hold anyone accountable simply disappeared.

They created the world's biggest trough, and the pigs showed up.

3
slaphappy2 3 points ago +3 / -0

We are becoming more and more like the Soviet Union all the time.

  1. Dozens of ethnicities who really have no desire to live together.

  2. Big Government and Socialism.

  3. The FBI is becoming more and more like the KGB - and internal political police force.

  4. Political prisoners is becoming a thing here. Roundup of dissidents.

  5. Free speech disappearing fast.

The Soviet Union collapsed after 70 years.

Oh it's going to get way worse. Every college-attendee over 20 now believes firmly that prostitution should be legalized, marriage is worthless, Christianity is pure evil and that all drugs should be legalized.

In 20 years, this will not be a society.

4
BasedMedicalDoctor 4 points ago +6 / -2

Fucking libertarians

5
ArchbishopofKekistan 5 points ago +7 / -2

Prostitution should be decriminalized, with all freed up time and effort targeting sex trafficking, specially of minors. And we need to end the War on Drugs, it's a waste of time, money, and sends too many non violent offenders to long tern prison.

Rest is BS. That's my libertarian input.

2
BasedMedicalDoctor 2 points ago +3 / -1

I’d rather prostitution stay illegal. The moral deterioration of society is where conservatives have a better grasp of the bigger picture than libertarians.

3
tombombadil 3 points ago +3 / -0

I’ve been on it for years. The main reason why I didn’t trust Rubio and Kasich in the 2016 campaign is because no one on the left was attacking them. Their voting record was decent, but it was suspicious as hell that the media wasn’t going after them. Turns out they were both cucks all along.

If the FBI's political attack on Gaetz doesn't make him seem more legit to you, you are not a smart person.

4
ArcOfAmbition 4 points ago +5 / -1

I'm learning about the specifics but has Gaetz been under investigation since last summer and this DOJ official decided to leverage it to extort him? Every article Gaetz has posted has added color for credibility of his claims.

For this deep state operative attorney to extort, he would need the FBI actively investigating or creating the evidence for the investigation. Or 2 separate items are happening but with the same goal of screwing Gaetz.

If nothing happens outside of this, it will be really interesting

2
karma_4_nineveh 2 points ago +3 / -1

This is what I don't understand. The original investigation has to have some merit for this extortion to have even been attempted.

4
coffee_grdr 4 points ago +4 / -0

does it???

i'm the fbi and i heard from "sources" that you are a pedo. i believe them and not you. so now begins the never ending investigation. i don't need a conviction, i just need to muddy your name and leak anything that will make you look bad like the fact that you post on TheDonald, a "known racist white-nationalist blog".

i don't believe everyone is corrupt or "controlled", but i do believe our government abuses it powers...

3
honk_honk_honk 3 points ago +3 / -0

It needs about as much merit as muh Russia for the deepstate to lunge and try deathroll you for two years.

-1
ArcOfAmbition -1 points ago +1 / -2

The original investigation has to have some merit for this extortion to have even been attempted

Not really. The FBI created their own evidence through proxy to investigate Trump. They are in the business of blackmail and control when it comes to investigating politicians. If they were focused on preventing human trafficking, Governor Newsom would be in jail.

I am curious of the 2 separate investigations because it shines a bright light on the FBI blackmail scheme. The extortion part is another layer and they will gladly make it the centerpiece to hide behind. Did the FBI lose control and set up the extortion to divert attention away? Something went wrong. It's interesting.

The entire DOJ is illegitimate. The Russian Witch Hunt, lack of investigation of Ilhan Omar and Hunter Boden proved that beyond any reasonable doubt.

8
War_Hamster 8 points ago +8 / -0

Then we hear stories about how the Biden DOJ is having to lessen the charges against many of the 1/6 "insurrectionists" down to trespassing.

That should tell us they still have to prove a case, so there's some hint of a legals system still hanging on by a thread.

Several other examples, if you need, but I'm certainly not arguing that they're not very corrupt, just that they can't quite get away with witch trials just yet.

2
SnowflakeJuice 2 points ago +2 / -0

There are still some honest judges, and juries. The DOJ is completely fucked.

2
War_Hamster 2 points ago +2 / -0

And yet we still have the DOJ putting bad guys away every day.

I'll readily admit that most of them in DC are corrupt as all hell, but even there, it isn't all.

I don't want to go back and forth on this with you anymore, because we're in agreement in principal and just arguing on the margins.

I can't tell you why I'm so confident in this, so I'm left with either really long-winded explanations of how the system works or with empty assurances.

Let's just agree that it is REALLY screwed and needs fixing. Fair enough?

1
honk_honk_honk 1 point ago +1 / -0

That should tell us they still have to prove a case, so there's some hint of a legals system still hanging on by a thread.

Part of me is telling me that's the shred of hope they want us to hold on to so they can keep boiling the frogs (us). If there was a real legal system not only would the election cases have been heard and investigated, but pantifa and their bffs wouldn't be getting bailed out by compromised attorneys all the time.

I'll only believe it when I see all that get addressed, not sooner.

2
War_Hamster 2 points ago +2 / -0

That's fair. I'm certainly not saying "trust the system".

Nobody is coming to save us.

'member the scene in Harry Potter 3 where Harry travels back in time to the moment he and Serious Black were about to be killed by Dementors? He waited for help to arrive, and it never did. He had to save himself.

The Qtards still think someone is coming to rescue them. The truth is, we are backed into a corner, and 2A won't be around much longer. We are the stars of this "movie", not some secret military team. We are the new Founding Fathers.

2
Ray_ciss 2 points ago +2 / -0

Only one man, " came to save us" that was Jesus over 2,000 years ago. Remember that some at that time thought he was going to ' overthrow the Romans' And Jesus didn't give two shits about the current ( earthly) governments or leaders.

Something to ponder

2
War_Hamster 2 points ago +2 / -0

As long as the 2A is still intact, we can still push the legal options and see what happens.

In the meantime, I agree we need to act as if we have to do it ourselves. That means grass roots organizing, which is also a great way to meet Patriots of a similar mindset. The grass roots stuff is needed no matter how this plays out.

I don't think I've ever watched more than 10 minutes of a Harry Potter movie. I'd have liked it as a kid, though.

Doubt it. I'm almost positive that shitpost was just a pedes early reaction to the NYT hit piece that not many heard of until Gaetz went on Tuckers show. Then less than an hour, all the other news outlets had follow up hit pieces from McGee's side.

It was a pretty late night trying to follow this entire shit show.

Unfortunately this is straight out of the authoritarian play book. Somebody becomes a nuisance to you, plant CP on them and destroy them forever. Their credibility is shot. The FBI needs to go because they are essentially just a gestapo arm for the Dems at this point.

6
FredRedd [S] 6 points ago +6 / -0

But, I'll say with a heavy dose of "cautiously" - after years of deploying these coordinated slander/smear tactics without any resistance, we are for the first time seeing slandered parties (I'm thinking of Trump and the historic retraction the the NY Slimes had to make regarding Project Veritas) fighting back and actually scoring hits. These are microscopic cracks in a granite mountain of smarm, but big cracks start with small cracks.

4
MarginofFraud 4 points ago +4 / -0

That's a reason to have hope for sure. The left's biggest challenge for generations has been to figure out the speed at which they increase the temperature of the water to boil the frog without the frog realizing. That's a dark and terrifying strategy to know you are the frog in this scenario, but as luck would have it, it's difficult to figure out the pace to turn up the temperature without it being noticed. People have been aware and they have been raising the alarm and for all the lefts cunning, they have been sloppy here and there and have admitted too much that they shouldn't have. People have learned to rightly distrust the media quicker than the media has learned to acclimate a free people to their propaganda. Still, we are in a very dangerous spot with lefty DAs letting their Antifa buddies walk after they firebomb a home, while the FBI/DOJ does everything in its power to jail innocent conservatives.

2
Basedsliceofwinning 2 points ago +2 / -0

Honestly, so many of my normie friends can't get off that MSM teet.

They won't watch CNN, but they'll read CNN.com. They'll read huffingtonpost or VOX, but not breitbart (that's biased coverage for far-right!). They think they're diverse in their news sources, but they aren't anywhere close. Just all left-wing bullshit

Cable/News viewership is pretty low compared to where it was years ago, but the venue just changed.

I think step 1 is for the general public to get the ability to distinguish between opinion statements/articles and fact/unbiased articles.

2
MarginofFraud 2 points ago +2 / -0

That's a tough thing. A lot of people don't recognize the difference between news reporting and opinion coverage. News publications rely on that lack of understanding to spread tons of propaganda bullshit, and then when they get called on it they say "hey we're just throwing out opinions" nevermind the fact that a lot of their opinion coverage isn't labeled as such (it's often labeled as analysis) or supposed fact news reporters will inject their blatant opinions into what is supposed to be just straight reporting.

The other problem is that there are websites that are made to rank news sources by their bias and reporting quality, except those websites are egregiously left wing and provide nothing but excuses for the left wing publications.

I do think Breitbart gets a bad rap and they do so because the conservative news media is just a lot more upfront and honest about it's political slant while the MSM try to pretend they aren't blatantly left wing. You might try recommending sites to them like Just The News, or Washington Examiner or Epoch Times. They're more conservative outlets but they're fairly subtle about their opinion coverage and your friends might be a little more willing to give them a read.

This should be a gigantic story, no matter which angle you look at it.

First I will say if Matt did traffick a 17 year old fuck him.

If he just hooked up with her, bad judgement but 17 is legal in most states. Seinfeld hooked up with a 17 year old, and Dems want 16 year olds to vote and 8 year olds to cut off their cocks. I would say bad judgement from someone in a leadership position but not law breaking.

I do think if there was truth to it the story would be blowing up a lot more and we would be hearing about this 17 year old and sordid details. Since the press isn't even making up shit I have to think that Matt is telling the truth in his denials, but if not he is a POS.

Bigger story here is that the DOJ leaked this out and someone promised him a presidential pardon for 25 million dollars. How does that happen? this is the height of corruption. Even if he did traffick a 17 year old, which agent got the details and threw together a crazy scheme to extort Matt and his family.

"If I were a bum I wouldn’t use the New York Times as bird cage liner. Wouldn’t wana piss of the bird."

I wouldn't want to wipe my ass with it - it'd be unfair to my ass.

And I agree - even the public airing of Cuomo's "indiscretions" is at least partly to distract from Cuomo's, Whitmer's, Newsome's et al. murders. Cheating and sexual harassment makes for juicy, gossip-y discussions about a real POS, but being party to murder is levels beyond POS-hood.

If Matt organized or drove a child across state lines, I dont think it would matter if it was his own daughter or niece, they'd find some law he just broke like forgetting to tell the mother or buying them candy at a neighboring state-fair. In a very dark way, it's kind of a compliment to Gaetz.
