State will make the case that he was being detained against his will thus Arbery was acting in his own defense.

He was never 'detained'. He -- at a full run --committed felony battery on a man holding a shotgun to aid his attempts to elude.

Vehicles were on both sides of him following him and boxed him in. That’s what the state will say.

No doubt that will be said, .. but he had a Clear escape route across the open field to the right.

Somehow, .. instead of just keeping-on running where running would be easy but trucks probably couldn't follow, .. some neurons in his 'mind' misfired and he changed directions towards a shotgun and thought "hey, ya know what, I got this!"
